Health & Safety

  1. Physical Distancing:
    1. Small class sizes/ limited contact groups – For additional safety, children will remain with their assigned classmates and teachers throughout the day. This includes time spent in their classroom, gymnasium, library/ computer/ music/ science room, and on the playground.
    2. School Entrance Procedures – Students and Faculty are the only ones allowed to enter the school. Students will be greeted by faculty at their car in the drop-off/pickup lane where they will assist your child in exiting the car and entering the building through the appropriate school entrance.
  2. Health & Wellness Checks – Temperature screenings will be conducted on all faculty and students prior to entering the building. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees and/ or showing other signs of illness will not be permitted to enter the building. If a child starts to display symptoms while at school, they will be moved to a quarantined area and parents will be notified to pick up their child.
  3. Handwashing and Sanitization – We instill and implement healthy hand washing and sanitizing habits with students and faculty. Upon entering the school, faculty and students will be asked to sanitize their hands. Hand washing will take place throughout the day to include but not limited to before/after mealtimes, after using the restroom, and when reentering the classroom from the playground or any enrichment classes.
  4. Disinfection Protocols – Stringent disinfection protocols take place at the close of business every day using exclusively EPA-registered products from List N which specifically kills coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). Frequently touched and shared surfaces and objects like doorknobs, light switches, tables, play equipment, and learning materials are disinfected regularly throughout the day. In addition, we have invested in leading edge systems to ensure the health and safety of our children and staff that include:
    1. CloroxPro 360 System is an evolutionary system that helps reduce pathogens like never before. It pairs an innovative electrostatic sprayer with the patented PowerWrap™ nozzle, delivering trusted Clorox solutions to the front, back and sides of surfaces. This system offers superior coverage for better germ protection and is proven effective against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
    2. iWave Air Purification System has been installed in our air ducts throughout the school. When air passes over the iWave, ions produced by the device reduce pathogens, allergens, particles, smoke and odors in the air, creating a healthy environment without producing any harmful byproducts. iWave uses patented technology, called needle-point bi-polar ionization, to create equal amounts of positive and negative ions. When these ions are injected into the air stream, they break down passing pollutants and gases into harmless compounds like oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water vapor. When the ions come in contact with viruses, bacteria or mold, they remove the hydrogen molecules – without them, the pathogens have no source of energy and will die. The ions also attach to allergens like pollen and other particles, causing them to band together until they are large enough to be caught by your ventilation system’s air filter. iWave’s technology generates the same ions that nature creates with lightning, waterfalls, ocean waves, etc. Nature uses energy and shear to break apart molecules, naturally cleaning the air and producing a healthy environment. The only difference between the iWave’s technology and nature is that the iWave does it without developing harmful ozone.
  5. Food Prep Safety – Teachers wear gloves while distributing and assisting children during all meal times.
