Individualized & Differentiated Instruction

We understand every child has unique learning needs. Some children work better alone or in small groups, while others need more assistance in certain subject areas. Our lead teacher and assistant teacher in each class will provide that support for each student. Individualized instruction focuses on each student’s distinct needs. To accomplish individualized instruction teachers will target one need at a time; some students may need help understanding and learning the material while other students are able to move on to more advanced topics. Lessons are taught in both ways, so every student benefits and retains the information. Differentiated Instruction is fun and flexible for student interaction, while promoting teamwork. Depending on the topic of study, students are grouped by their attributes encouraging confidence. For collaboration skill development, groups will consist of all levels of abilities. Students within the groups will change based on the current activity or assignment. An example of this process is to have children grouped by their writing ability or children on different learning levels teaming up on a science project. Incorporating Individualized and differentiated instruction helps each student reach their full learning potential.
