STEAM, Phenomenon & Problem-Based Learning

We have implemented STEAM which is integrated into all aspects of Baylake Academy. We are utilizing this approach to teach our students inquiry, critical thinking, and process-based learning. This approach provides individualized instruction to meet each child’s distinct needs. Building self-esteem, engaging students, and hands-on experience are products of this methodology. Combining STEAM with Phenomenon and Problem-Based Learning encourage deep learning and understanding and have students actively solving problems, taking ownership of their learning, and applying content in real-world contexts. Problem-based learning (PBL) hones skills like collaboration, creativity, and problem solving. Shaping the learning by taking cues from our students results in an environment of self-confidence.
